Recognize and reward our Monterey County High School Seniors/Hartnell College Students with an opportunity to pursue higher education.

The Ernie Camacho Educational Foundation awards (6) $500 scholarships to upcoming graduating seniors from Monterey County High School/Hartnell College Students!

To be qualified for an Ernie Camacho Educational Foundation scholarship, students must be meet the necessary requirements:

Students must attend a Monterey County High School/Attend Hartnell College.

Three letters of recommendation:

1. One from one of your teachers

2. Another from your Coach

3. And, a third, from your counselor

These recommendations must come from people who know you well.

Selections for the scholarship will be based on the following:

1. Academic record

2. School and Community Involvement

3. Work experience

4. Consideration of any relevant special circumstances.

5. Essay

Want to prep for the essay?

All scholarship applicants must answer the following questions in essay format.

1. Write a brief biography, what do you want us to know about you?

2. How will winning this scholarship help you attain your goals?

3. What challenges/barriers have you faced that has affected your education and how did you overcome it?

4. List four adjectives that best describe yourself and explain why.

5. Describe an accomplishment you are most proud of and why you take special pride in it.
